dots101 is an independent beginner's guide to ChatGPT dots. Here's who runs it, how we verify every fact against OpenAI's docs, and how to report a mistake.
What this site is
dots101 is an independent, plain-English guide to ChatGPT dots, the always-on agents OpenAI launched on September 29, 2026. It is written for people who just got a dot, are waiting for one, or are deciding whether dots are worth it.
We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by OpenAI. We don't use OpenAI's logos or artwork, and nothing here is official guidance. For account or billing problems, contact OpenAI through its help center.
How we check facts
- Official sources only. Product facts come from OpenAI's announcement, help center and release notes. Comparison pages use each competitor's own announcements and product pages. We keep a dated copy of the key passages so we can see what changed.
- A date on every page. Each guide shows when we last verified it and lists the exact pages we checked, with the date we accessed each one.
- Unknowns stay unknown. When OpenAI hasn't documented something, such as prices after the first month, we say so and mark the page as pending confirmation. We don't fill gaps with guesses.
- Opinion is labeled. Advice like “which rules to start with” sits in a box marked Our take, separate from what OpenAI says.
- “Tested” means tested. We only mark a workflow as tested after running it on a real dot, and we date the test. Until then, examples are labeled as not yet tested.
How we keep up with changes
Dots are rolling out gradually and OpenAI has said usage terms will follow. When official documentation changes, we log it on the updates timeline, name the pages affected, and update their verified date. You can follow the timeline by RSS.
Corrections
If something on this site is wrong or out of date, email hello@dots101.com with the page URL and, ideally, a link to the official source. We fix confirmed errors and note significant corrections on the updates timeline.
Use of AI
We use AI tools to help draft and structure pages. Every product fact is checked by a person against the official source before publishing, and anything we can't verify is either removed or clearly marked as unconfirmed.
